NEW WORKSHOP: 12 CULTURAL PITFALLS TO AVOID

WORKSHOP WITH DARIN KRANICK

12 pitfalls to avoid in this jungle of modern life.
12 pitfalls that are not quite as easy to avoid as the average slick coach and motivational speaker would have you believe. 12 pitfalls that exist in all of us but few want to recognize.

This workshop is for this chosen few – for those who know they need to change and want to avoid these pitfalls in their everday lives. Not just for the sake of advancing your career and earning potential, but so that you start becoming the type of person you can really look up to and respect.

SELF-KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT THE SACCHARINE!

You know America as the well-dressed, smiling business man who could sell you anything but has little substance to offer. He tells you to wake up early and make lists of goals and ambitions and never give up.

The typical American coach will use the term “work-life balance” because it is incredibly sexy, not because he understands it on a deep and concrete level. His smile makes you want to smile just like him (because you like his house, his car and private jet).

Other coaches can “import” these smiley, proactive and productive gestures but will never know just how much shallowness, overcompetitiveness, stress and indifference this comes with and that it is actually the root cause of the work-life imbalance in the United States. They learn how to imitate the smile without it coming from a real source of happiness.

I am here to help you avoid these PITFALLS…to show what should be rejected, what should be emulated, and what should be added!

12 CULTURAL PITFALLS TO AVOID IN THIS JUNGLE OF MODERN LIFE

  1. REAL IDENTITY (What’s My Name?)
In an age of posers and lookalikes, how to truly stand out from the rest.
  2. CREATING AND RECLAIMING VALUES FOR YOURSELF IN A SUBJECTIVE AND RELATIVISTIC WORLD (Build Your Own Life)
How to build a complete life in a world that is no longer capable of giving you one.
  3. LOOKING FOR HAPPINESS IN THINGS & APPEARANCES (Shopping for Perfection)
We’re supposed to look and shop like Barbie and Ken. How to get the things that will last you beyond your twenties and thirties.
  4. ROLE-PLAYING (Jekyll & Hype)
To survive and compete in this world you adopt opposite and conflicting personas. How to become that someone you can look up to and respect.
  5. FEARS AND ILLUSIONS VS. REALITY (Removing Mental and Emotional Blocks)
Find out what you’re not seeing or what you’re denying, no matter how painful or difficult these are or seem to change.
  6. NARCISSISM (King and Queen for a Day)
We have a 10-year life span in this culture – from 18-28 years old – and then everything is seen as downhill from there. I will show you just how dirty a lie this is and what life really has to offer a whole person.
  7. HEDONISM (Me, Myself & I)
People think that self-centeredness is a good thing and yet this never leads to satisfaction. I teach you how to be both strict and lenient with yourself.
  8. SEEING THE NEGATIVE IN EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING (Beautyspotting)
Finding your blind spots – positive first, negative second. What to change and what not to. Knowing what people are seeing when you meet them for the first time – on an interview or date, at work, at a conference.
  9. NUMBNESS / APATHY (Numbness)
Numbness is the new feeling! In order to survive, you learn to dissociate and much of life is now approached with a tough indifference. Simply knowing that this is a bad thing is part of getting rid of this habit and problem. How to get rid of this layer by layer.
  10. SHORTCUTS AND FAKE SOLUTIONS (Miscalooney)
You often fill your life with junk solutions to serious problems because you don’t like living with uncertainty and you don’t like to or have the time to think. We identify these temporary fixes and find real and long-lasting alternatives.
  11. DOGMA
We like to fill our heads with blind and easy answers to complicated problems. We do this in order to feel confident and because we like to voice our half-baked opinions rather than thoroughly investigate something first. I identify these delusions by name.
  12. NIHILISM / CYNICISM (Why People are Always Miserable)
Our extremely skeptical worldview is largely based on illusion and self-pity.
